Easy-Corn
Spicy CornItems Required:
1. Fresh Corn
2. Butter/oil/ghee
3. Chilli powder
4. Salt
5. Chat Masala
6. Turmeric
7.lemon juice
8. Coriander powder(optional)
9.Jeera Powder(optional)
This is a quick and perfect evening snack. If you are clueless what to prepare within 10 min this is for you.
This recipe is simple and can be made with minimum ingredients. It can be served snack. This healthy easy corn is handy to all generations. You can keep it simple or add your own ingredients to spice it up.
Method
1.Take a kadai add some butter(if you feel not required you can skip butter) and heat it in low flame.
2. Take 150 grams fresh corn and add it to butter. Saute it for 2 to 3 min
3. Add 1/4th teaspoon turmeric powder, 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder(if you like it spicy you can add more), 1/4th teaspoon chat masala and salt to taste. Jeera powder and coriander powder are optional.
4. Heat it for another 5 to 10 min(you choose as corn can be eaten raw) add few lemon juice and serve hot. To garnish add some coriander leaves
5. This dish can be served as a side dish for chapati or rice
Creamy Corn
Items Required:
1. Fresh Corn
2. Butter/oil/ghee
3. Milk
4. Salt
5. Sugar
6. Cream/Malai
7.Cheese
8.Pepper(optional)
If you have a sweet tooth then you should definitely try this dish. If not you can spice it up with pepper. This can also be used a sauce for pastas and spaghettis.
Method
1.Take a kadai add some butter and heat it in low flame.
2. Take 150 grams fresh corn and add it to butter. Saute it for 2 to 3 min
3. Add 1/4th to 1/2 cup Milk with whole cream(based on your liking soupy or thick)
4.Add 1 to 2 teaspoon Sugar(Sugar powder is also fine) and a pinch of salt. You can also add pepper at this point if you dont like it too sweet.
5. Cream or Malai is optional but it adds to the thickness
6. Cook this for 10 min and add cheese once you remove it fro heat and serve hot
7. To make this same dish a sauce for pasta add 1/4th teaspoon corn flour/All purpose flour while heating
Corn Sandwich
Items Required:
1.Fresh corn
2.Butter(optional)3.Onion
4.Tomato
5.Cucumber
6.Salt
7.Tomato sauce & Green chilli sauce
8. Soya sauce (optional)
9. Mayonese (optional)
10. Pepper
11.Whole Wheat Bread or multi grain Bread
This is a perfect evening snack, if bored of eating the same old things for breakfast you can also prepare it for breakfast ,you can try out different versions with the same ingredients and varying the sauce. I do not like sandwiches with capsicum ,but you can add it along with corn.
Method
1. Heat a pan and add butter or oil(your choice) to this add sweet corn and saute it.
2. Add some salt and pepper.
3. Add 3 sauce of your liking, I choose light soya , tomato sauce and green chilli sauce
4. Saute it till the corn is cooked in medium flame
5. Meanwhile you can toast your bread( I prefer to do it in the same pan in which i cooked the corn so that the left over sauce can stick to the bread)
6. I toast my bread lightly but it totally upto you.
7. Now lets plate the sandwitch, add few slices of cucmber, add the corn mixture on top of it.
Add a tomato slice. Finish it with some Mayonese and enjoy the Sandwitch
